Himanshi Tiwari

Associate Professor

Biosketch

Dr. Himanshi Tiwari is a seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience in academics and the social sector. Presently, she is the Faculty of OB, HRM, Diversity & Inclusion at BIMTECH, Greater NOIDA. She also serves as a resource person for executive training programs for organizations like NTPC, IFFCO, NBCC, UCO Bank, Power Grid, NHPC, Hindustan Times, and BFIN Nepal, District Education Officers ( Government of Bhutan), Banking and Insurance organizations in Nepal, Institute for Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS), etc. She has designed training modules for the officers of CAPART and Joint Forest Management Program of Forest Department, Lucknow. She was a part of the team managing monitoring & evaluation projects for organizations like the World Bank, Oxfam, and Care India. During initial days of her teaching career, she taught courses under the MHRM & IR Program as a visiting faculty at the University of Lucknow, Lucknow.

She is the recipient of the BIMTECH Teaching Excellence Award for the academic year 2022-23. She was awarded by JobsforHer under the Women in Impact category for her impactful work in Gender mainstreaming and DEI in the year 2022. She has also received the Most Influential Women in Academics 2021 Award by Education Ninja and the Academy of Management Professionals. She is a certified professional in ‘DEI at the workplace’ by ESSAC Business School, France, and in ‘Indian Knowledge System for Management and Governance’ by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB, Swayam).

A strong advocate of SDG 5, Dr. Tiwari focuses on capacity building on POSH compliance and DEI Initiatives for Indian corporates and government agencies. Action Research conducted by her during her PhD further won international funding from the EU and played a key role in the establishment of three Women Career Counselling and Guidance Centres in associated Indian universities/HEIs. She is the recipient of two consecutive research grants by Erasmus plus Program of the European Union titled, Project RAINBOW (2018-2022) and Project AIDEdu (2023-2026) with partners from University of Alicante, Alicante, Spain, FH Johanneum Institute of Applied Sciences, Graz, Austria, Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia, Jyvaskyla University, Jyvaskyla, Finland, and HEIs of India and Nepal. The area of grant varies from gender mainstreaming, women career counselling to digital, accessible and inclusive higher education. She has co-authored and co-edited three books titled (i) ‘Surya: The ever-rising HR, (ii) ‘Career Counselling for Women’s Empowerment’, (iii) ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in education and work life’ (Bloomsbury India, 2020, 2021, 2022).

Passionate about Hindi literature, mythology, and youth mentorship, Dr. Tiwari aims to explore science and spirituality to address contemporary challenges faced by women and youth. Communication is her lifeline, and travelling for work and experiences is a key motivation. She has published and presented papers in many national and international publications and conferences and is an invited speaker at reputable academic institutions to deliver talks on motivation, emotional intelligence, resilience, leadership, and gender mainstreaming.
